Aiden Jones

With dark brown eyes and dark brown hair that falls to her shoulder blades, and standing at 5'9'', Aiden is easily identifiable as Peter Hannibal's sister. Her skin is fairly pale from spending almost all her time indoors. Usually she has good curves, if rather bottom-heavy, and a nice waist. However, Aiden is pregnant with her second child and even though she's only in the first trimester, it's starting to show. Never one for much make-up, in her past job as a biochemist she stopped wearing any at all, and now only puts on something more than lip gloss for special occasions.

Growing up with three brothers shaped much of Aiden's personality. They were always naturally faster and stronger than her, so she gave up on sports very young and worked to demonstrate her own skills elsewhere. As well, her brothers were all very verbal, wordy people; Sam wrote a lot, Peter taught himself random languages, and it just wasn't worth the effort to try arguing with John. So Aiden turned to math and science, and made them her domain.

Not overly feminine, but certainly not quashing that side of her personality, Aiden knows how to run with the boys. And beat them at their own game. She's highly competitive, but she will apologize for hurting your feelings after she's beaten you. If you give her crap, she'll dish it right back at you.

Aiden is the third child and only girl of her parents, older than her twin Peter by a couple of minutes. Her father was in the Army, but retired a couple years after Aiden and Peter were born. She grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, and excelled in all her classes, often helping her brother in math. Around seventh grade, many of her female friends and even some of the guys stopped talking to her, and several were outwardly mean. Not at first understanding the reason for this, Aiden went through a period of depression, then in eighth grade started going by 'Addy,' wearing trendy miniskirts, and stopped doing schoolwork. Her former friends rallied around her, but her brothers stopped talking to her.

By high school, Aiden had figured out who she was, and most of the school population had matured enough to accept that. She was accepted to MIT, and got a Chemistry major there, then continued into their graduate degree program, with a more specialized masters in Biochemistry. Aiden met Ron Jones in graduate school, and they married after they both graduated. They moved to Buffalo, where Ron worked in computer analysis and Aiden in a biochemistry research facility, and have already had one child, one-year-old Kay.

Aiden became dissatisfied with the facility she was working at, especially with the rough work hours where she would have 15 hour work weeks at one time, and then work 80 hours in a week when they neared a breakthrough or deadline. She applied for teaching jobs to various colleges and well-funded private schools that would enable her to continue private, low-key research, and got accepted to many. However, when the Deveraux Institute called to tell her they would greatly appreciate her acceptance of a position on their staff, Aiden decided to go there.
