Benjamin Chase

At 5'11", Ben stands an annoying inch from the height he'd hoped to grow to. His mother swears he'd be taller if he hadn't started drinking when he was fourteen. He never weighs himself because he knows he'll still be skinny as hell. His eyes are a hazel-grey. He loves doing different things with his hair; it is currently spiked short with blond highlights. He had it back in a ponytail for a few years but his now ex-girlfriend cut if off while he was sleeping.

Ben is the life of the party. He views life as a game in which the only rule is to enjoy yourself. He's nice and all, but don't think for a second he isn't number one on his list. He's been known to get as drunk as a thousand Apaches when he takes a notion to and being so skinny doesn't help him hold his liquor any. His afore mentioned girlfriend became an ex when he threw up on her after a heavy night of partying. Ben's nothing if not fun loving and is known to be downright foolish when he takes a notion.

Ben is the youngest of three in a well-off family. His dad left when he was two. His mother was the breadwinner of the two, though, so they weren't hard off financially. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, but until recently was living it up in Florida. He was a popular kid in High School; he broke all but one of his brother Gregory Chase's track records and was the kicker on the (American) football team. He got into Cornell by the grace of God as they don't give athletic scholarships. He often joked that it was an accident, but didn't doubt that it had something to do with his mother, an alumni of the school who often wrote them large cheques. He was also a kicker at Cornell, but failed to ever make it in the NFL or the growing EAFL (Europa-American Football League). After failing to make the final cuts in either league for three years, appearing in only one game where he made two field goals, Ben informed his agent he was going to medical school and filed for official retirement.

In medical school, Ben started drinking heavily again, a habit he'd tried to quit after getting arrested in High School. Despite having a hangover on a daily basis, Ben graduated with honors and received a job at one of the top hospitals in Chicago. Fired after only six months on the job for inappropriate behavior with a nurse, Ben headed to Boston to spend Christmas with his brother, hoping as well to see if anyone owed his brother a favor or two.
