James Browning

Described as a pathetic excuse for a son by his father, Frazzle has always been considered weak. Inheriting his job from his Uncle after his untimely death, he continues to work on both sides of the law as required. For the moment, he spends his time trying to protect his mother from his father while being unable to fully stop the pain Bruce Daniels is causing.

Frazzle has the typical chocolate brown hair that often looks like it hasn't been brushed more than James just running his hands through it in the morning. He has slight facial hair that adds to his general appearance of not looking after himself, which in some ways is true. He would rather spend his time making something work than making himself look presentable. He has light blue eyes that contrast with his hair and give him a slight puppy dog expression.

He is of average height and weight for his age, standing at 5'7''. He has some slight muscular definition but it is not something he works on. His clothes tend to be slightly dirty from oil and grease that he picks up on his jobs, but he does tend to keep himself clean the majority of the time.

Frazzle is a very independent person and is proud of what he can do. He likes to show off slightly with big words but mainly to people who don't know exactly what he is talking about. His fascination with trying to find how things work means he is a very hands-on guy. He would rather try and figure things out himself than seek help from a manual or any other person.

He is very humorous and likes to crack jokes to lighten any serious situation. It helps him to get through some of the time limits he has to work in, for example before a computer discovers it has an intrusion and sounds the alarm.

He is not very interested in attracting women, as shown by his dress sense, which at best can be described as scruffy. He has only fallen in love once and he was rejected, which has left him impartial to the opposite sex, seeing them only as friends not potential girlfriends.

Frazzle was born in Dorchester, Boston and was raised by his mother who was a single parent. He was part of one of the few families in Dorchester who were not descended from Irish immigrants. His father, Christopher, had disappeared off the scene soon after he was born, deciding to move to New York to make his fortune. He was followed by Frazzle's uncle. Both became involved with a criminal gang from Brooklyn called The Gargoyles.

Much to his surprise, George - by then having earned the nickname 'Frazzle' - eventually found himself back in Boston as Mickey Tannenbaum decided to move the Gargoyles into the city. During that time, George became close to his nephew Jamie and ended up teaching him many tricks of the trade. James found he had a talent for it, just like his uncle had, so he didn't pay much attention academically at school. It didn't take long for James to realise Uncle George wasn't exactly on the right side of the law, and was part of The Gargoyles. George sometimes dragged him along and James could see that he was training him up to take his place and share some of the workload. James started on the side lines doing regular electrical jobs to pay for his flat, as well as occasional extra work for the Gargoyles.

George Browning was eventually shot in the head by James Mann, ex-Leader of the Gargoyles, during an attempted siege of Deveraux. Jamie stepped straight into his uncle's shoes but had a deep set hatred for James Mann even though he was dead. This hatred should have been angled at his daughter, but when he discovered that Andrea had been the one to shoot James he half mellowed to her and carried on working for the Gargoyles, being known as Frazzle Junior.
