Frederik Johansson

Greying hair and dark, weary eyes mark just shy of a decade in the stressful position of Senior Tutor at Deveraux College. Those years have finally caught up on Frederik, their toll visible in both his general demeanour and health. Frederik's body-type is 'normal', something quite rare among the elite of Deveraux, but probably best attributed to his lack of fieldwork over the last decade. Despite also being of average height, he still carries with him an air of authority.

A natural leader, Frederik is easy to get on with, something which is reflected by his long-running stint as Senior Tutor. Despite having retiring, Frederik still has a presence at Deveraux as he, like every other ex-Senior Tutor, is free to be called upon at any time by his successor. Uncommon for someone so high up in an institution, Frederik has a very strong sense of humour and is also able to laugh at himself - something which he'd say is a necessity if you laugh at others. Frederik's job was his life but, after retiring, he's slowly finding new hobbies (chess), challenges (to complete a triathlon in the next year) and experiences (extreme mountain-climbing).

After the recent death of his estranged ex-wife, Frederik suffered a mental breakdown. For several months he resided in a Deveraux lodge, somewhere in Scotland, trying to get a hold of himself. Now on his way to recovery, he has recently returned home to Boston.

Frederik's pre-Deveraux history is rather unremarkable for a former Senior Tutor. He grew up in a small town in Scotland, his mother's home country. Being an only child he opted not to remain in Scotland alone at the age of 16 when his father took an over-seas promotion and so moved back to America, his country of birth, with his family.

Frederick had a fruitful Deveraux career and is since remembered as one of Deveraux's best-loved Senior Tutors and remembered by some as The One That Got The Ethics Teacher, having married fellow Deveraux teacher Rebecca Stanley on 3rd March 2105. The couple divorced 10 years later when Rebecca refused to retire alongside Frederik, however even after their divorce, Frederik and Rebecca remained more than just amicable friends. If Frederik were honest, he would probably concede that in his mind they never really broke up.
