Kyle Kennedy

Six foot tall, athletic and with a young looking, clean-shaven face, Kyle is the kind of person who is often mistaken for being in his early or mid twenties. His blonde hair is cut short so as not to impair his vision when he's playing sport, while his eyes are a light shade of blue. His nose is slightly crooked due to having been broken on two separate occasions - once during a game of cricket, once whilst playing rugby. He can usually be seen wearing a t-shirt and shorts, only resulting to tracksuit bottoms when it's particularly cold.

As a person and particularly around those he trusts, Kyle is very laid back and easy going, often being the first to help a friend in a tight spot without any questions.

As a teacher, however, many students are surprised to find him to be, although always fair, often very strict. He takes sport seriously as he believes it helps teach Deveraux agents valuable skills such as team play. He also expects the best out of those he is teaching - whilst he knows some students are naturally better than others at sport, what he will not stand for is when those who find it to be difficult don't even try. Kyle has a very strict personal policy of treating all students equally, no matter what their ability - he never has a favourite.

Unsurprisingly, sport is Kyle's favourite aspect of life. He has tried his hand at everything from ice skating to horse riding, but his favourite sports are still team sports, especially cricket. However, he has a secret love which he has never shared with anyone - playing music. He is currently teaching himself to play the drums, hoping to perfect his skills until he can surprise everybody who had no idea he could play a musical instrument.

Kyle was born an only child in Melbourne, Australia. Living in the so-called sports capital of his country, it was hardly surprising that he picked up a cricket bat as a young boy and soon started up an Australian rules football team with his friends. Kyle went on to become part of many of his school teams and even won a few awards and medals. Although he never excelled at many of his other subjects, he was a hard worker and tried the best he could in all of them. After having graduated, he went on to major in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne.

When he was twenty five years old, Kyle met schoolteacher Julie Parker at a friend's wedding. The two were engaged a year later, and being around Julie made Kyle appreciate for the first time how rewarding a job teaching could be. He was intending on telling Julie he wanted to try and become a Physical Education teacher, but she decided to drop a bombshell on him first - she wanted to move to the United States. Although Kyle didn't initially agree, he was eventually persuaded and he and Julie were quickly married before departing to New York. Once they had arrived, both of them had a difficult time obtaining a job and a work visa. Kyle was thrilled when Julie finally was accepted to work at a local school, and didn't even suspect what he was to discover merely two weeks later - that she'd obtained the job by sleeping with the headmaster. He filed for divorce, but once it was finalised he realised he had nowhere to go. Kyle's parents offered him a ticket back home to Australia. However, the next day Deveraux offered him a very well-paid job as their Physical Education teacher. Kyle moved to Boston and took it, although slightly unsure himself why he made this decision. His friends have suggested that perhaps he doesn't want to be too far away from Julie in case maybe she decides to come back to him.
