Stefan Müller

An Austrian living on the Italian island of Venice, Stefan Müller is an experienced Deveraux Handler and former Field Agent. He has had a long and prosperous marriage to Addolorata, an Italian matriarch who owns and operates Camera dell'ospite del D'AmatoD'Amato's Guest House out of which Stefan operates. Stefan and Addolorata have three children of their own, and a long-term foster child.

Officially a Roman Catholic, Stefan takes a more spiritual than dogmatic approach to his religion. He would be the first to say he rarely connects with the Church, believing God is best served by actively helping others rather than sitting in silent reverence every Sunday. To this end he assists his local humanitarian charities when he can, donating time and resources. He has previously helped to operate a soup kitchen with Addolorata. Stefan is an optimist, holding the view that every human who lives a good life helping others will go to Heaven regardless of their religious views.

Stefan is a strong believer in manners and is keen to instil this in his own children and subjects alike.

Upon graduation from Deveraux, Stefan was a Field Agent based in Rome, Region Red. After settling down and marrying Addolorata he moved to Venice to join her in her family home. When they formed a family Stefan wound down his career to spend more time raising his children with Addolorata. During this period he worked for Deveraux as a Mission Planning Tactician and also as a Selector Agent, running the occasional mission. He found it hard to adjust to retuning to the field full-time, and so made the transition to Field Handling. In his mid-sixties, Stefan has no plans to retire from Deveraux any time soon, though he understands that his current subject, Charlie Red, is likely to be his last.
